The SA dj/producer Shimza launched KUNYE in 2020 as a platform for South Africa’s emerging talent. Now, the South African lodestar returns to his label with melodic, afrotech EP ‘Howling Moon’ featuring Kieran Fowkes of Him_Self_Her fame on vocals and a remix from Innervisions’ Denis Horvat.
A growling bassline underneath sharp, tribal hats and claps amalgamated with crashing symbols, theatrical pads and the haunting vocals of Kieran Fowkes unfasten the dramatic ‘Howling Moon’.
